VLY releases his fourth single, Namosi

Young musician, Viliame Navoka who goes by the stage name VLY has just completed recording the remake of his own version of “Namosi” – initially sung by the legendary, Lia Osbourne.

This single is one of the many he is recording in the build up to the release of his debut album that is set to be released in 2015.

Adding his own touch and soul to the single with modern club beats, VLY says it is an accomplishment he is proud of.

“I have just been going in and out of studio recording some of my singles in the build up to the release of my debut album.

“I have has completed recording the remake of Namosi re-recorded with my very own touch, minor changes to the arrangement of the song and modern club beats produced by the talented Jone Daulomani, also known as, DarXidE Dj.

“I am thankful to Mr Bill Beddoes for consenting to my humble request to remake the song.”

It took VLY three months to complete the song from recording to perfection.

The Rukurukulevu native of Nadroga was mersmerised by the huge support after releasing his first single “Muju Cola” in 2013 – thus, gave him the vision to seriously explore his singing talent.

On Valentine’s Day last year, he released his second single and first ever collaboration, with Lesaa titled “Isa Buna”.

Then was the release of his third single titled “Mositi Au” on June 20 the same year.

The single Muju Cola got nominated at the Fiji Performing Rights Association (FPRA) Music Awards 2014 for Best New Artist 2014 alongside Etonia Lote Jnr (Voqa ni Delaidokidoki) and Viliame Cokanauto (Kula Kei Uluivuya). In December 2014 I released a draft video for my second single “Mositi Au” on You Tube.

He fourth single Namosi was scheduled to be released on Friday on his Facebook Music Fan Page “VLY” – (https://www.facebook.com/pages/VLY/251680188299702?ref=hl )

“I would like to just advise young people and even old people who are still young at heart that it is never too late to chase after your dreams.

“When you have a dream you wish to achieve, set out the steps you think is best to take, draw up a strategic plan of how you will achieve each step to allow you to achieve your bigger dream.”

Acknowledging the help of those who have pushed him to what he has achieved today includes Savuto Vakadewavosa, Epi Nasaroa, Kim Rova, Isireli Mainavukea, Sina Suliano, Ilisavani Cava, Laisa Vulakoro, Kiti Niumataiwalu, Mickey Niurua, Laisa Lagilevu Vodo and to all his family members, mother and sisters.
