Online shoppers beware! A certain Facebook online store suddenly became inactive late last week.

Some shoppers are beginning to worry that they may be victims of ‘daylight online robbery’.

Those who placed orders with this particular store might have made a cash deposit of $20 – $60 depending on the total amount of the items they wished to purchase.

Once this was done, shoppers should have been informed about the day to expect their goods and pay the remaining balance.

Some were told it would be last Friday. As of yesterday, they were still waiting.

It would be a long wait because there is no way to get in touch with the store.

Smoking menace

It seems the ‘No Smoking in Public Places Campaign’ needs to be stepped up a notch.

The Suva Bus Stand, some billiard centres and many public areas are still hot spots for smokers.

FYI – Under Section 19 (2) of the Tobacco Control Decree, 2010; a fixed penalty fine of $200 to the person who smokes and $1000.00 to the owner of the premises.
