Salad Bowl Reflects On 2014

As the year winds down and the festive season is in full swing, many sporting organisations are taking the time to look back on the year that was.

One such club is Salad Bowl Netball Club headed by Navosa Netball Association President Judy Kumar who was pleased with the progress the year-old club had made in 2014.

“Our main aim is to develop the grassroots and develop more players who can don the Fiji colours. Salad Bowl is looking forward to maintain players and develop and also play bigger tournaments and expose more talents.

“Salad Bowl Netball Club is made of Nadroga and Navosa players and SBNC has Open Women and mixed, Open Under-23 men and Open Men’s teams.

“This Year was our First year to play at Mokani and our Excom has agreed that it will be our Annual Tour to Mokani. Salad Bowl lost to Frendz in the Fiji Bitter Mokani 7s in Tailevu last week losing 13-8 to Frendz.

“We want to thank the Navosa fans who accommodated our club in Mokani. We also thank our sponsors Greenman Landscaping, Melrose Travel Tours and True Blue Hotel. We also thank our Open Men and Mixed team who played in the Lautoka Men N Mixed Season.

“We have players like Seruwaia Makutu, Elenoa Vatureba, Litia Vatureba and Torika Vaka.

“I salute my players with the exposure and tournaments we took part in. It has been wonderful to see players improving every tournament.

“We also thank all our players Women and Men for a successful year 2014 and 2015 will start in early January with the AGM on January 13th January at True Blue Hotel from 7pm.”

The Fiji Bitter Mokani Netball competition marked the final major netball competition for 2014.
