Back To School Shopping Starts

As the festive season continues, back to school shoppers has begun flooding supermarkets in Labasa yesterday.

For those who plan their shopping well, back to school shopping won’t be a hassle as they will not be standing in long queues at book stores.

Merekula Vilomena of Korotari, has two sons.

She said it was best if parents started their back to school shopping early instead of leaving it to the last minute.

“I started my back to school shopping last week,” she said.

Ms Vilomena said she visited all bookshops in Labasa comparing prices.

She said cost of books this year were cheap and affordable.

“Prices this year are very good. I don’t have to spend more money on buying school stationery for my two kids” Ms Vilomena said.

One of the bookshops Janta Stores, had been experiencing flock of shoppers since last week.

Shop owner Vinod Lal said, “We have not run out of any school stationery and business is going really well.”
