Tigers, Brothers To Fire Up Premiers

The Suva Cricket Association is anticipating an exciting and challenging 2015 season.

Association executive member Mohammed Ali Maqbool said this following the demotion of premier clubs Sarafui and Ono-i-Lau to the A-grade division.

“This would be a very exciting 2015 season as we started the season late this year as all teams came in prepared and surprisingly the new teams have come out with surprises,” he said.

“Sarafui and Ono-i-Lau have been demoted to the A-grade division while Punjabi Tigers and Covenant Brothers have been promoted to the premier division.

“Punjabi Tigers were undefeated in the A grade and deserves a spot in the premier division alongside Covenant Brothers.”

Yadrana are the Cup holders and will be challenged by Covenant Brothers next Saturday.

Saturday’s fixtures;

Albert Park- G1

8am; Army Invitation vs Punjabi Tigers, 11am; Sarafui vs Nasaqalau, 2pm; Heilala vs GMTM

G2; 8am; BSP Warriors vs Oneata 11am; Moce One vs Police, 2pm; Ono-I-Lau vs SGSOB
