Thirty-two residents of the Babasiga Ashram in Labasa had a reason to smile before New Year’s Day today.

This was when Labasa businessman Saifud Dean who preferred to be called Titi donated food, clothing and New Year goodies for senior citizens in the Ashram.

Mr Titi said he had been doing this to the Ashram for four years now.

He said when we help someone we are always blessed. “I call on businesshouses in Labasa to visit the home and at least give the home what it needs” he said.

Meanwhile, the Home’s welfare officer Neha Prasad said donations made by members of the public helped keep the residents happy.
