What’s Your New Year’s Resolution?

Fiji has surely come a long way with growth now standing at 4.6 per cent.

And it has all been because of you, the drivers of our economy.

Today while we reflect on the past year’s events, some of which were teary, others brought hope.

As businesses, we look forward to starting anew, elevating our targets and looking for prospects to grow our economy.

And what better way to start than with the traditional New Year’s Resolution.

Here is what some of you say on the 2015 horizon in no particular order.

For 2015, we are anticipating a continuation of the strong growth experienced through 2013 and 2014. Investment activity has been particularly buoyant and led by the private sector with the Government doing its part in infrastructure, maintenance and development. We see this trend continuing throughout the coming year. The Reserve Bank of Fiji’s policies will continue to be proactive and practical, supporting growth as much as possible within the bounds of our current healthy level of foreign reserves and low inflation. I wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2015.
