Senimili Saudole of Rukua Village, in Beqa, was a happy mother after she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Daniel, at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital on New Year’s Day.

“I am so happy that I gave birth to a baby boy and giving birth on New Year’s Day was something I didn’t expect. I was able to deliver a healthy baby boy at around 1am which makes my New Year a more memorable one,”Ms Saudole said.

She said her resolution for the year was to spend more time with her family especially, her new born baby.

Ms Saudole thanked the Lord for the protection and her parents especially her husband for being with her until she gave birth.

Baby Daniel Saudole weighed 4.10 kilogrammes.

Meanwhile, eight babies were born at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva on New Year’s Day.

Mrs Saudole was among the eight mothers.
