Thumbs Up For Fijian Made

Fijian made products are becoming the choice for mothers in their baqck to school shopping.

Premila Wati Prasad of Nadera, Nasinu said, “Book prices are too expensive and there are no changes in some of the costs compared to last year”.

“The Fijian made products are cheap and affordable compared to imported textbooks which schools demand. I cannot cater for everything for my only child in my $80 per week salary, but buying Fijian made products had saved me some money,” said the 42-year-old mother.

“We are renting since my husband left me two years ago. We did not celebrate Christmas and New Year because we were collecting money for my son’s school shopping.

“In the rate of $2.25 per hour, I was able to buy all the school stationery for my child with Fijian made products.

“Fijian made stationery are cheap in bookshops and I advice   parents to buy Fijian made products,” Mrs Prasad said.
