Shoppers Hope For Best Prices

Popular school uniform outlets in Suva are doing their best to ease the burden of back-to-school shopping for parents.

M Bhagwan and Company Limited, Suva director Vimal Kumar said there had not been an increase in price from last year.

“We want to give our consumers reasonable and affordable prices,” Mr Kumar said.

He said parents and guardians had been shopping in numbers to buy uniforms, stationery and bags.

“We have almost 70 per cent of school items and we will also get school basic sandals later this week.”

Mr Kumar advised consumers to pre-plan their shopping instead of waiting until the last minute.

Caroline Aull, a guardian, said she always took care of her nieces back to school shopping needs.

“I have noticed that the price this year is better and much more affordable when compared to last year,” Ms Aull said.

She said her niece Caroline Degei would go to Year 9 at Gospel High School.

“Last year I had spent more than $200 for my niece’s education, but I’m glad this year I have spent less than $100.”
