A spectacular residence that will be built on the headland of the Fantasy Resort complex is illustrating the growth of this Nadi Bay tourism and residential property.

The architect is Sharma Design, the prominent Suva-based firm also specialising in interior design and project management.
The residence has its own private Nadi Bay beach on one side, created by building a rock groin to shelter the area, and the main Fantasy Beach on the other

It has views over Nadi Bay, across Nadi International Airport to the Sleeping Giant, back towards the interior through the Nadi Valley and sweeping views to the nearby Denarau Island. This building is destined to become one of Fiji’s icon residences.

Since December construction activity has greatly increased in the Fantasy Resort development.

Confidence in Fiji

Abbas Ali, the Managing Director of The Fantasy Company, says: “Since the election there has been amazing investor confidence in Fiji and this is reflected in all the new construction activity in our development. The election was the turning point.”

The building constructions are in both the residential precincts of the development and in the commercial marina area, where the civil works are very close to completion.

Some of Fiji’s most respected builders have moved into the area. A number of builder owned properties are now under construction, some for the builders personal use and some for sale on completion.

From November 2014 sales of lots in all sectors of the development have been put on hold.

Unprecedented sales completion levels during October and November led to over 80% of all lots being sold.

The management decided to complete all remaining work and evaluate the prices of remaining lots at that time.

The demand has been so strong that there were no lots available in the first three residential stages and very fast uptake on the last stage.

Long-term Growth

As well as marina activity areas, the complex will have a range of other services including food options, cafés and bars, and a selection of retail outlets.

The top floor will provide hotel accommodation to assist tourists travelling through the marina to the offshore resorts. Again, the architecture is spectacular and seen as at the forefront of terminal design for Fiji.

Work is also underway on the Eco Park Resort adjacent to the Marina access road, which has a well developed rainforest landscape.

Mr Ali is certain that the pace of construction will continue to grow.

The result, he believes, will be an attractive environment for both the residents and the individual resorts. As well as providing a world-class, strategically placed hub for the marine operators who have chosen Port Fantasy Marina.
