Busy 2015 For Suva: Singh

Suva soccer coach Gurjit Singh have a big task for he 2015 tournaments starting with the National Football League on January 24.

“Suva has a busy year ahead and there will possibly be a few changes when the transfer window opens in March,” said Singh.

“We will keep the same team for the National Football League but when the transfer window opens up we might get a few more.”

With the new automatic demotion of the last two teams into the Premier Division this year, Singh said consistency was one thing they would work on. “We had a good run in 2014 and the main thing is keeping that consistency,” Singh said. “Now that the last two teams will be automatically demoted, the pressure will be on for every team to perform.”

Meanwhile, the 2015 National Football League will start on January 26.

Fiji FA competitions manager, Amitesh Pal made the confirmation after consultation with the sponsor CJ Patel Group of Companies.

“Initially the league was scheduled to start on January 10 and with respect to the sudden death of CJ Patel’s managing director Sandip Patel, it was deferred.” Pal said a new name for this year’s National League will be revealed soon.
