Reports on bogus recruiters have been received by the Police.

In fact this is a big scam where the bogus recruiters have been going around and collecting money from the people with false promises.

Now they are saying that they can even arrange for cheap car deals and another group offering “help” in the visa application.

A group is promising to “help” in passport application.

All for a fee, of course.
Beware!

Looking for jobs
Most of those who resigned from the Fiji Police Force to work in potentially lucrative roles as security guards at the St Barbara Gold Ridge mine on Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, have been made redundant.

They are back and now searching for jobs. Mickey Bird has been informed they are trying to get back to the Force.

Gold Ridge was closed in April 2014 following torrential rains, which caused extensive damage.

Expat workers were ordered not to return to the site amidst disputes involving landowners, illegal miners and further damage to the property.

Drug watch

Everywhere they go they are followed and now the target is to completely shut them from the market.
The commmunity is very supportive supplying information on the marijuana farms.

Finding their way

Another eventful ride along the Suva-Nausori corridor for Mickey Bird.

As a mini van stopped to pick passengers up at the Nausori van-stand, those trying to get in struggled for some time to open the door.

By the time they got in, at least five to six passengers were already seated.

They had bumped their way through by opening the boot.
