Local talents delighted fans with a pulsating performance at the Bula Desi Bollywood Concert at the Vodafone Arena in Suva last Friday night.

They performed with Bollywood entertainers Tusshar Kapoor, Zarine Khan and Ali Asgar.

The event had the likes of Masti Arts and Dance Group, local singers Elena Baravilala with Shameel Shamooz Khan among others.

Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Hiwarkar said the concert had featured a grand entry for each star, followed by never-before-seen acts.

“I had uniquely choreographed their moves to ensure maximum performer-audience interaction,” he said.

Mr Hiwarkar also said he had a great time working with the amazingly talented artists and that their passion and creativity had been in full flow.

One of the fans, Alisi Turaga of Valelevu, Nasinu, said the stars had exceeded all their expectations.

“It was really exciting to watch the Bollywood stars right in front of our eyes. It was simply unbelievable,” Mrs Turaga said.

She said the concert was something that her whole family and Fijian audiences had truly loved and appreciated.

The chief guests were the Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Koya, and the Indian High Commissioner, Gitesh Sarma.
