The Queen Victoria School Old Boys and Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) were overjoyed following the release of the Year 12 exam results yesterday.

The school recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in last year’s Fiji School Leaving Certificate Examination.

QVS old boy and former PTA president Anasa Vocea said the old boys were excited about the achievement by the school.

“We are certainly very proud and this shows how hard we have worked together during the past two years to produce these results,” Mr Vocea said.

The two school association been funding extra classes for Year 12 and Year 13 students for the past two years.

PTA president Pate Ledua said however that they would work towards getting quality marks.

“Our move now is to make sure that the students not only pass but score quality marks so when they finish high school from here they are able to secure a scholarship to get into tertiary education,” Mr Ledua said.

Mr Vocea said the school had scored more than 80 per cent pass in the 2013 FSLC exam.
