Mental fitness and focus will be high on the training agenda for Rewa when playing Ba this weekend in Round Two of the 2015 Galaxy Premier League.

Following their 1-1 draw with Labasa during the opening round of the 2015 Galaxy Premier League last weekend, coach Marika Rodu has pinpointed this as an area of concern.

“We gave away an early goal last week. It’s a concern to me. We cannot be dropping our guard in the very beginning of the match or during the whole match.

“Between the players and me we have discussed the issue of individual fitness. The players now need to take personal commitment to remain fit at all times.”

Rodu revealed Simione Tamanisau and Jone Kaloutani would both remained sidelined for the second game and was delighted with the strong return of Iosefo Verevou.

“Simi Tamanisau remains out and Jone Kaloutani still has not recovered from an ankle injury.”

Rodu said while Under-20 members of the squad were on a separate schedule, they still communicated effectively.

Considering the strong performance of the line-up from last weekend, Rodu didn’t expect to make many changes for this weekend’s clash against Ba.

Rewa will host 2015 Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion winner Ba at 3pm this Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
