Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) stakeholders met at the Tanoa Skylodge in Nadi yesterday to revive the annual Bartender of the Year competition.

Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association’s Executive Officer, Chanelle Zoing said it was a proud moment to involve the stakeholders once again between hotels.

“We are reviving the event once again after a lapse of four years. The secretariat invited members including general managers and food and beverage managers to discuss the competition details,” she said.

“It was very interesting and very encouraging to see our industry members and be part of it after four years.

“There is excitement building up for the competition this year. There is enthusiasm to see in the committee to be part of the event.”

Ms Zoing said HOTEC needed to get the confirmed committee members to draft and brand initiatives.

“Few action items such as registration forms, fees and competition criteria are needed to look at.”

Ms Zoing is welcoming stakeholder corporations to participate in this year’s event including the Bartender of the Year competition through the various investments opportunities highlighted in the sponsorship categories.
