The Fiji Police Force have a suspect in custody in relation to the alleged murder of Lees Trading Company Limited chief executive officer Holland Seeto.

Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed this yesterday but referred further questions concerning the investigation to Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, Assistant Commissioner of Police Henry Brown.

Speaking to ACP Brown yesterday, he said it was premature to say that the suspect they had in custody was a prime suspect.

“At the moment we are still in the process of interviewing the suspect. When we have established the evidence we will then issue an official statement,” ACP Brown said.

Mr Seeto was found at his office last Thursday morning with stab wounds to his neck. He will be buried today at the Chinese Cemetery in Suva.

His elder brother, Dixon Seeto, said those wishing to pay their last respects could go to the Suva Private Hospital between 9am to 10am.

Following this, the funeral cortege will leave for Mr Holland’s home at Tamavua where they will stop in front of his house to perform traditional ceremonies before they leave for the cemetery at Reservoir Road.

He is expected to be buried at 10.30am.
