The dates for a music tribute to honor fallen thunder bass guitarist Paul Vaurasi has been set.
Western Musicians & Entertainers Association treasurer, Rusiate Ralulu confirmed yesterday that the two-day music festival would be from February 20-21.
“It will be held at the Nadi Farmer’s Club,” he said.
Ralulu said four bands have already confirmed their participation for the event but they are still open if other bands are interested as well.
Vaurasi died at his Nadi home late last year. He was a household name along the Denarau and Natadola corridor. Friends say he was frequently invited as guest artist to most resort bands in the area.
“Proceeds from the event will be given to his family,” Ralulu added.
