Hard work and sacrifice paid off for mother of four and University of the South Pacific (USP) student, Taraivini Ranadi yesterday.

Ms Ranadi was amongst the 1278 students that graduated from the College of Foundation Studies and the Pacific Technical and Further Education at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

The 49-year-old was awarded the most outstanding student in Office Management Certificate Four and also the recipient of the Yatu Lau Company Limited prize.

“I work full time as a clerk for Nasikawa Vision College in Sigatoka; I’m a mother to four children and  wife of a school principal, while playing all these roles I was also studying. It wasn’t easy,” Ms Ranadi said.

She said her faith in God helped her achieve her goal.

“I thank the Lord for everything, because of him I was able to cope with my studies and my family for their selflessness,” Ms Ranadi said.

She was grateful to USP for giving her the opportunity to further her studies.

“I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this. It would help me reach my goal and pursue better work opportunities,” Ms Ranadi said.
