Dina To Release New Rise Single

Local singer Eroni Dina says, fans should keep an ear and eye out for the official launch of his new single and video in a few weeks time.

Also a music director with Pasifika Voices, Mr Dina said the song is made possible with the courtesy of Youth Change for Mental Health and their campaign Rise.

It is sponsored by European Union through the United Nations Development Programme’s Strengthening Citizen Engagement In Fiji Initiative (SCEFI) grant with production and launch sponsored by Profession Ian Rouse, the acting Vice-Chancellor of the Fiji National University.

He said he was able to complete the song through patience and through the unwavering support from his family, friends and of course his fans.

He travelled to the North and Ovalau visiting Bua, Labasa, Taveuni and Levuka to promote his new single.

In his official music page, Mr Dina said it is time we show the world our support to negate suicide and create awareness on mental health which is what his new single is about.

“Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention are not getting enough attention,” Mr Dina said.

“Rise is a project that sees to create that opportunity, the opportunity to not make noise, but use the power of music instead to attract attention from all who call Fiji their home.

“I’d like to thank `Youth Champs for Mental Health’ for Rise and their confidence in me as their Champion for 2015 and my single `Be the Change’ as the advocacy tool,” he added.

The Rise Project song `Be the Change’ is written by Mr Dina and Junior Matt. It is expected to be released this month.
