The Vereti Dickson-captained Nadi team extended their lead to seven points in the 2015 Rewa Galaxy Premier.

After thumping Tailevu/Naitasiri 6-1 and drew 1-1 with Suva, the jetsetters thrashed Rewa 5-1 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.

What happened:

Nadi started with a bang with Josevata Dugucagi scoring in the 4th minute after being set up Vuniuci Tikomaimereke.

In the 13th minute Dugucagi assisted Eliki Ravosai in scoring the second goal.

Halftime: Nadi 2- 0 Rewa.

Nadi increased the tempo at the resumption with Rahul Krishna scoring in the 48th minute.

In the 61st minute Lekima Gonerau beat four defenders including goalkeeper SimioneTamanisau.

Beniminio Mateinaqara came off the bench to seal the win in the 88th minute.

Star play: Goalkeeper Vereti Dickson played a leading role for the jetsetters.

Big play:

Striker Josevata Dugucagi played another good game upfront.

Nadi coach Kamal Swamy: “It is a great achievement and I commend the players.

Rewa coach Marika Rodu: “This is our worst performance so far. It is time the players should rise to the occasion as they are simply not doing their part.”
