Eight staff members of Turtle Island Resort departed our shores for the United States on Saturday as part of its Human Resources initiative programme rewards.

Turtle Island Resort Limited Director Richard Evanson Jr said the trip was part of its HR programme funded by resort.

He said in 2014, its staff had performed exceptionally well. In light of this the resort wished to acknowledge them by going the extra mile rewarding them with a trip to the US.

“This is reflected in our guest feedback among other accomplishments and to acknowledgement this effort,” Mr Evanson Jr said.

Experience

The objective of the trip was to have fun, experience a foreign country as an international tourist and traveller.

“This takes away some valuable observations and experiences that will help them in their personal and professional life.”

He said they had 12 employees of the month, selected from January through December.

Each of them received a bonus and certificate at the end of 12 months.

Of the 12 individuals, an Employee of the Year was selected.

Mr Evanson Jr said all candidates had consistently worked to the best of their abilities.

These were only in management’s eyes, but in their colleagues’ witness. These individuals have shown a high level of commitment, reliability, and extremely dedicated to their work.

“Moreover, they are punctual, well groomed, and maintain a positive attitude toward their work and colleagues at all times.”

An exciting itinerary awaits them that covers California’s main attractions.

Perhaps the highlight of their trip will be cheering our Vodafone 7s Ben Ryan-led team who play at the Las Vegas Sevens this weekend.

They also tour places like the Studios in Hollywood, Griffith Observatory Center, Believe It Or Not Museum, the Wax Museum, a fun-filled day at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disney Land, California Adventure theme parks, the Zoo, Pacific Aquarium, and the famous Santa Monica Peer.
