Patrol Beef Up In Nakasi

Police officers based at Nakasi have been directed to beef up their street patrols in the area.

This follows a number of robberies and attempted robberies reported with the Police last week which has caused sleepless nights for some families.

The chief of investigations and intelligence, Assistant Commissioner of Police Henry Brown, yesterday directed his officers based at Nakasi to beef up patrols in the area following concerns raised by members of the public.

ACP Brown personally called on the officers and instructed they improve their service delivery. This is to curb the incidence of crime in their area of operation as well as regaining the confidence of those they serve.

A number of residents in Naulu, Nakasi say they are living in fear of being robbed.

An alleged robbery and two attempted robberies last Monday and have been giving residents sleepless nights.

The public are urged to report any unusual behaviour in their area and are urged to secure their homes well.
