Vodafone Fiji 7s head coach Ben Ryan says minimal distraction from fans will help the team perform well at the USA 7s in Las Vegas this weekend.

Ryan said players need to focus on the mission and not distracted as they experienced last season.

“We’ve told been that a lot of Fijians are making their way to Las Vegas,” Ryan said.

“But normal rules apply regarding visits and fans since I’ve been coach.”

The side visited Wolff Elementary School after their training session yesterday.

GRR MACHINES

Meanwhile, Ryan and team physiotherapist William Kwoong received Game Ready Recovery machines donated by the SouthBay Davui -Global Fijian Business Networking.

Global Fijian Business Networking is a group of former Fiji citizens residing in the USA.

They raised funds from around the globe to purchase the GRR machines which provides active compression, cold therapies to reduce pain, swelling and stimulates natural healing.

The purpose of the machine is also to accelerate recovery time from injuries, games and travels.

Fiji faces Samoa in their first game on Saturday at 1:06pm and the side is expecting a tough physical game.

Their second match against Wales at 4.02pm on Saturday and last pool match against pool leaders New Zealand at 9:05am Sunday.
