The school conducted its prefect’s induction on Tuesday.

Mr Khan hi ghlighted the importance of making the right decisions and leading by example.

“We need committed and reliable people whom we could rely on while making tough decisions for the betterment of the nation,” he said.

“This is what leadership is all about when you have a team confident enough to shoulder responsibilities in the midst of trying times.”

Mr Khan encouraged students to strive for excellence in education while the Government has provided the means to enable all students to access education.

He also took the opportunity to encourage students to take up agriculture subjects in particular, sugarcane farming, seriously since Fiji is gearing towards diversification of its sugar cane products very soon.

Principal Shabinah Ali congratulated the students on their appointment and encouraged them to excel in their roles as well as their studies.

Ms Ali thanked parents who came in numbers to motivate and support their children in their new roles.

Headgirl Salesia Batirerega, and headboy Fadil Ali said they were ready to take on the challenges.
