Dilkusha Methodist High Schools banks on junior athletes for the 2015 Coca-Cola Games in April.

This was after their inter-house athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

Event co-ordinator and English teacher at Dilkusha Methodist High School Jone Biu Waqalevu said they needed to step up 2015.

“Our aim is just to better our last year’s performance,”Waqalevu said.

“We have our strengths in the junior grades and we are looking forward to thems to hopefully bring us the results.

“Last year we just manage to get one gold and silver and we will have to improve on that this year.

“We would want to step up and be able to achieve more and improve on our results.

“Our junior grades are really doing well in our sprint events. We’ve some new students this year and this are the students who we are banking forward to bring us gold.”

Waqalevu said they had moved their inter-house at earlier date so that they had more time for preparation.

The four houses which competed yesterday were Dakua, Damanu, Vesi and Yaka.  The winners of the inter-house competition will be announced on Monday.
