Forty-seven students of Naleba College in Labasa last Friday were inducted as prefects of 2015.

Avishek Sahayam and Roshika Devi were named headboy and headgirl respectively.

Chief guest and Senior Superintendent of Police Fulori Rainibogi did the honours of pinning the badges on the prefects.

She told the newly-inducted leaders that, “when you become a leader, success is all about growing others.”

She quoted this from author Jack Welch.

She said prefects have the opportunity to share in the leadership of the school and it was a prestigious responsibility.

“A prefect is a role model and will be expected to uphold school rules and regulations to a very high standard,” SSP Rainibogi said.

Headboy Avishek Sahayam thanked the school staff for having faith in him and appointing him to lead the school this year.

“It is such a great challenge for me and the student council will try its best to execute their duties with responsibility,” Sahayam said.
