Bangalore and Nagpur in India have been identified by Tour Managers Fiji as potential areas of growth as far as our tourism industry is concerned.

These areas are seen as those with which to establish new connections and further boost destination Fiji’s presence in the outbound market.

This comes as Tour Managers Fiji began its annual India roadshow on February 8 beginning in Bangalore, followed by a stop in Nagpur and ending in Mumbai on February 11.

This roadshow dovetails on the heels of the Tourism Fiji’s roadshow, which began on February 2 and ended on February 6 in Chennai, India.

Through the efforts of Tour Managers India Representative Alefiya Singh and Contract Manager India Division Saroj Gounder, over 300 agents will be visited and educated through the duration of the roadshow.

This exposure to industry partners is extensive and very cost effective in terms of securing business conversion.

Industry partners involved this year in the roadshow were Ahura Resorts, Royal Davui, Namale and Captain Cook Cruises.

The Roadshow is a crucial piece of the strategy to increase awareness of Fiji with new travel trade partners in India and further educate experienced travel partners who sell Fiji.

It is also to tap into new lucrative market segments that offer the best returns for Tour Managers marketing spend in India.

In Nagpur, Tour Managers Fiji was given the opportunity this year by event organisers to participate at the GPS (Global Panaromic Show).

This is a pure business-to-business event attracting agents not alone from Nagpur but also from the neighboring regions like Chhattisgarh/Madhya Pradesh/Maharashtra and Vidharbha.

This invitation was then extended to accompanying Fiji industry partners who were in attendance with Tour Managers to be part of the event.

Tour Managers Fiji will continue to work extensively with Tourism Fiji in growing the market and looks forward to increased growth for Indian arrivals this year.
