Fiji Tattslotto Valentine’s Day promotion winner, Anare Lomani, was handed his $30,000 cheque yesterday.

The handover was conducted at Hanson’s Supermarket in Makoi  by Fiji Tattslotto’s resident executive director, Graeme Brown.

Mr Lomani, 38, scratched a winner after spending a dollar on the ‘Beautiful Golden Mango’ ticket at Hanson’s Supermarket in Nasinu on February 14.

Mr Lomani, a part time/unemployed maintenance worker, is the first scratch and win Fiji Tattslotto winner this year.

Mr Brown said: “I am very happy that someone who needed assistance and deserved the win has won $30,000.

“Mr Lomani has faced difficult times, with the children going back to school and finding little work.”|

Mr Brown said the winner was truly surprised and shocked when the three $30,000 figures appeared on the ticket.

Mr Lomani plans to use the money for his children’s education.

Supermarket director Suresh Kant said: “This is the third time for Hanson’s Supermarket to pick up a Tattslotto winner.”

“Mr Lomani was really lucky.”
