Local singer Eroni Dina will officially launch his new single ‘Rise’ in March.

This was confirmed by the singer yesterday who said the launch has been delayed to allow his music video production to be completed.

It was initially planned for this month.

“It will be launched on March 10 as we are still shooting for the music video,” Mr Dina said.

The promotional tour for the song ‘Be the Change’ came to a temporary end last week and the last place visited was Nativi in Ra.

First leg of the tour was to Vanua Levu whereby the ‘Rise’ team visited Nabouwalu, Lekutu in Bua, Labasa, Savusavu and Weilagi in Taveuni.

The second leg of the tour visted Keiyasi in Navosa, Namoli in Lautoka, Navala and Nailaga in Ba before it concluded in Nativi.

The album is sponsored by European Union through the United Nations Development Programme’s Strengthening Citizen Engagement In Fiji Initiative (SCEFI) grant with production and while the launch is sponsored by Profession Ian Rouse, the acting Vice Chancellor of the Fiji National University.

Mr Dina thanked his sponsors for their support saying the tour was an inspirational one, it not only promoted the album but it helped him to grow a new sense of respect for the country and its beauty.

Some of the places he specifically mentioned are Bouma waterfall, the architectural wonders of the churches in Savusavu and Namoli, the ancient bures of Navala and the history and historians of Nativi in Ra.

“Taking my new single with the intent to create awareness on Mental Health and suicide prevention with an organisation like Youth Champs for Mental Health (YC4MH) is a dream come true,” Mr Dina said.

“My dream has always been to sing and write for effective positive change. Entertaining is secondary,” he added.
