A two-time national music award winner has urged artists, recording engineers and musicians to send in their application for

the Fiji Performing Right Association (FPRA) Annual Music Awards Night.

Speaking to GM, sound engineer Rusiate Ralulu said, winning

one of the 13 prestigious awards enables them to establish their name in the market and they would become marketable soon after that.

“During my days it was known as the Vakalutuivoce Awards Night but from last year there was a change in name,” he said.

Mr Ralulu said artists and groups that have released their albums last year should not shy away but instead give it a go.

“I’m looking forward to May 16 to see a lot of new faces on the stage at the Grand Pacific Hotel to receive their award. “This is going to be a huge boost to the country’s music industry. We welcome our upcoming stars who will bring with them new ideas, new sound and a new mindset on how to move the industry forward.”
