North Projects Benefit Freight Company

Government’s capital projects, in Vanua Levu have benefited a freight service company based in Labasa.
The company Inter Island Freight Services Limited (IIFSL), which transports cargoes from Labasa to Savusavu, Taveuni, Levuka and Kadavu has reported an increase in its operation.
IIFSL operations manager Anil Deo said business has been going well this year.
“We have not come across any problem as business continues to operate smoothly” Mr Deo said.
He said compared to last year business was really slow in Labasa, especially when it comes to transportation of cargoes.
“I would like to thank Government because of their new capital works in the North has somewhat brought a lot of business,” Mr Deo said.
He said the company’s three trucks that serve around Macuata are now doing deliveries to Savusavu, Taveuni and Suva.
“With the new government initiative in the North has really boosted the freight services sector” Mr Deo said.
IIFSL was established in 1999 and its main office is at Lami with branches in Lautoka and Labasa.a
