Providing a quality curative and preventative health service is one of the main focus set out by senior officials of the Ministry of Health.

This maps out its National Strategic Plan over the next five years.

Assistant Minister for Health and Mediacal Services, Veena Bhatnagar, reminded the senior officials to not only understand the ministry’s vision and mission, but to ensure that there was a collective effort by the ministry on how these could be achieved.

“You may have heard the Minister talk about the importance of having the right leaders in any organisation because once you get the right people they can figure out where to go and envisioning where we are trying to go and drawing up a map to get there,” Mrs Bhatnagar said.

“Those people are you and you are technical experts in your respective areas and the ministry is looking to you to make sure that our plan for the next five years takes us to the right direction.”
