InterContinental Introduces Taste Of Korea

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa will welcome two chefs from the award-winning Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas this week on secondment to launch a Korean culinary affair for March.
Byung Eun Kim and Sangun Jung have a combined culinary experience of 33 years and will work closely with the resort team to create an authentic and memorable dining experience.
InterContinental Fiji director Leisure Sales & Marketing, Hudson Mitchell, said: “It’s an absolute delight to see our marketing efforts in Korea pay off with an increase in over 100% in numbers from Korea at the end of 2014.
“The new year has started off amazingly well and we are confident of seeing a record number of visitor arrivals from Korea to the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa.
“The presence of these two amazing Korean chefs adds value to our outstanding product.
“This will a good boost for Korean guests who are not to adventurous when it comes to dining and gives them the comfort of being able to retreat to Korean cuisine in the comforts of Fijian luxury service and product.”
Director Dining & Entertainment of the InterContinental Fiji, Denny Akira Tanaka, said: ““With two culinary veterans arriving, we expect that March will be an exciting time for us.
“InterContinental Fiji has never featured Korean cuisine before and our kitchen team is excited to learn new techniques from Byung and Sangun.
“We will be offering a special Korean themed buffet on Tuesdays whilst the chefs are here to give a different culinary experience that has never been featured before.
“It’s going to be fantastic and we invite the local community to try a taste of Korea with us.”
