The Ministry of iTaukei Affairs wants to go up another level in its performance this year.

The Permanent Secretary, Savenaca Kaunisela, said the theme of their 2015 Annual Corporate Plan was ‘High Performance’.

Mr Kaunisela said although the ministry had done well last year, they wanted to lift the standard up to another level this year.

“Work has already started on that. Some surveyors are out in villages to survey the land and officials have been going around the country to hear the concerns from the people,” Mr Kaunisela said.

The Ministry is also focusing on their various projects.

He said the assurance that they had been doing well was indicated in the latest appointment of one of their staff to take up a post in Brazil.

The iTaukei Land Trust Board’s director development service Emalaini Kuruvakadua has been appointed to become Fiji’s Counsellor in Brazil.

In 2013, another TLTB staff Pita Tagicakirewa was posted as Fiji’s Counsellor to Malaysia.
