Ema Natadra created history when she became the first woman to be appointed as the Regional Manager of iTaukei Land Trust Board since the institution’s establishment in 1940.

Effective February 1, 2014, Ms Natadra became in-charge of the South Western region based in Namaka, Nadi and was also responsible for part of Ba (Nadi) and the Nadroga-Navosa Province.,

TLTB had at the time had said her appointment was a testament to her hard work and commitment to her various roles at the TLTB and her service to landowners and the tenants over the past 13 years.

Her dedication and hard work was also given national recognition when she was named the Manager of the Year at the Women in Business Awards held on Saturday night.

Mr Natadra, thanked the award organisers and the sponsor, Westpac, for acknowledging the efforts of women.

She said while receiving recognition through the organisation was one thing, but to be acknowledged in front of some many people was simply amazing.

 

Background

Ms Natadra is a qualified land manager, having graduated from the University of the South Pacific with a Bachelor of Arts in Land Management & Development in 2001.

She is a Valuer by profession and is duly registered and member of the Fiji Institute of Valuation and Estate Management. She joined NLTB (now TLTB) in 2001.

Ms Natadra is from Navutulevu, Rakiraki in Ra.
