Four Nauruan nationals out of five charged for manslaughter in the death of 22-year- old Tongan university student, Sione Tufui, have had their proceedings terminated by the High Court in Suva.

Jameson Agir, Bouncer Keppa and two juveniles were yesterday released after State prosecutor Amelia Vavakadua filed nolle prosequi before judge Justice Salesi Temo.

The four, together with one Julian Henrich, had been charged with the murder of Mr Tufui, a second-year degree student at the University of the South Pacific.

They were allegedly involved in a brawl with a group of men outside a Suva nightclub.

Mr Tufui was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead later.

The State also made amendment to the information of Henrich and now he faces the charge of manslaughter.

Defence lawyer Taina Leweni for Henrich requested the State to serve information and disclosures which has not been served to them for over seven months now.

Bail for Henrich was extended and the matter has been adjourned for mention on March 23.
