The Telecom Fijian Warriors are ready to battle Samoa A today at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The 5pm showdown, in the third round of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge, will be crucial for both teams if they are to make the final next week.

Warriors captain Nemani Nagusa said they intend to play good, hard clean rugby.

“We are all geared up as we know it will be tough and physical,” Nagusa said.

“We need to be aggressive and control our discipline as Samoa has a good kicker.”

Nagusa calls on the Fijian supporters to turn up in numbers at the ANZ Stadium today.

“Hopefully, we get a good crowd to cheer for us.”

Meanwhile, Samoa A coach Mailo Potu Leavasa has plans to counter the Fijians.

“Fiji managed to hold their own against the Argentina Pampas in the scrum last week and we need to front up,” Leavasa said.

“We also know that Fiji have a good backline so we just need to slow the game knowing Fiji will play a very fast game.

“The Fijians forwards are tall, big and we lack in height and size.

“ It’s a big challenge for our local players  to play at this level as some of them are playing in this level for the first time and I believe they will do the job.”
