Vodafone Fijian 7s coach Ben Ryan says players can use mobile phones and access Facebook during the Hong Kong 7s which starts on Friday.

But a curfew has been put in place for the use of Wi-Fi.

“Players have been good on the use of mobile phones and accessing Facebook throughout the series,”Ryan said.

“But we have placed a curfew on the use of Wi-Fi.”

(Wi-Fi is the name of a popular wireless networking technology that uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed Internet and network connections).

Ryan wants players to have limited distractions in their preparations and the onus on reps to focus on the task and play by the rules.

“We’ve been doing well so far and trust the boys will focus on the task this weekend,” Ryan said.

The team arrived in Hong Kong on Monday afternoon and had their first training session, a gym session and visited the King George V School yesterday.

“We had a pool session on Monday and visited the school yesterday,” Ryan said.

Meanwhile, speedster Samisoni Viriviri joined the team later yesterday.

The side will have a scrimmaging session with Spain today.

Fiji is in Pool A with Canada, Samoa and Belgium. The Fijians play Samoa in their first game at 12:44am (Fiji), Belgium at 5:46pm and last pool match against Canada on 9:48pm on Saturday.
