The 2015 Coca-Cola Games torch relay team visited three schools in the Old capital, Levuka on Monday.

The games’ torch first visited Levuka Public School then continued its journey to Delana Methodist High before ending its tour in St John’s College, Cawaci.

With the Ovalau Zone scheduled to take place this Friday, Levuka Public School principal Nanise Tuimanono said the visit boosted their athletes’ preparation.

“This visit is timely as it will also boost preparation for our 124 athletes who are preparing for the Ovalau Zone,” Tuimanono said.

The two torch bearers for Levuka Public were their 2014 Coca Cola Games medal winners. They are Jone Loco who won bronze medal in the junior boy’s Shot put and Josua Drega who won silver in the junior boys’ discuss.

“We are preparing well for the Ovalau Zone and we’re hoping to select a good squad for the Coca Cola Games this year,” she said.

The 2015 Coca-Cola Games will be held on April 24-25.
