It is not just the Fiji Ports Terminal Limited who is barking about their success in getting turnaround times improved.

The Fiji Ship Owners and Agency Association has witnessed and commended the entity’s efforts in this overdue but welcoming result.

“We’ve been having regular discussions addressing some concerns that raised by Shipping Lines we represent,” it said.

What used to be ongoing issues in the past has now been managed.

“For example, damages to containers /cargoes or even the vessel at our wharves that contributes to additional costs borne by the Line that’s not recoverable.

“Fiji market is price driven and has the lowest freight in the region.”

The association believes the turnaround times been uplifted.
