Free Milk Launch In The North

The Fijian Government’s free milk initiative will be launched in the Northern Division at the Dama District School in Bua on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will launch the programme.

The Free Milk Programme for Year One students at schools throughout Fiji was launched late last month at Nakelo District School in Tailevu.

Mr Bainimarama had stated earlier that his Government promised through the FijiFirst manifesto that they would provide free milk from the start of the school year.

He said it had taken them a bit longer than they thought, but they were determined to get the programme exactly right.

This was for the sake of every Year One child – no matter where they live.
