Teachers and students of Korowiri Tovata Primary School, about six kilometres from Labasa, are grateful to Government after receiving their first duplex Automatic Photocopier machine this week.

School manager Krishna Naicker thanked Minister of Education Mahendra Reddy for the assistance.

“The school roll is 45 students and most of them come from a cane farming background,” Mr Naicker said.

He said land leases for most of the children’s parents expired few years back and they struggled to provide basic family needs.

“The school did not have a proper photocopier for the past few years and had to spend extra money while photocopying in town,” Mr Naicker said.

The school could not purchase a new photocopier because of limited funds.

He said school management board and parents were very grateful to the Education Minister and the FijiFirst Government for its generous help.

“This will surely enhance the teaching and learning process at the school,” Mr Naicker said.
