Wear White, Suva Team Urge Fans

Suva football fans have been urged to wear white to the opening match of the 2015 Fiji Airways Oceania Football Confederation Champions League between Suva and Auckland City today.
Suva Football Association president Mahendra Prasad made the plea yesterday.
“We need to come out in great numbers and support the team because Suva is the people’s team.” Prasad said.
“So I’m urging all the Suva fans and supporters to come to the stadium dressed in white to show your support for the team.
“This is the first time we’re hosting this tournament and for Suva, we’ve been working hard and we’re calling on the people to be there and show your support by cheering for the home team.
“It’s a very important game, the first game of the tournament and we believe that while it will be a challenge, nothing is impossible and we can accomplish anything.”
The capital city side face the defending champions of the tournament Auckland City in the opening game at 4.30pm this afternoon followed by Western United of Solomon Islands going up against Amicale of Vanuatu.
In Ba, A.S.Pirae of Tahiti play Lupe Ole Soaga of Samoa at 4.30pm before host Ba meet Gaitcha of New Caledonia at 7pm.
