FRCA Hosts CEOs Forum This Friday

In a bid to improve relations with its stakeholders, the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority is organising a Chief Executive Officers forum.
The forum, which will be held at the Holiday Inn Suva this Friday, will discuss issues on compliance and strengthening partnerships for progress
The forum will include five speakers from Australia and New Zealand.
The forum will include panel discussions with members of the private sector joining the speakers as panelists.
Authority chief executive, Jitoko Tikolevu, said: “The forum is part of our FRCA Day celebrations, which will be held at the Sukuna Park in Suva on Saturday, April 18.
“We have said before that we will continue to improve our relationship with our stakeholders, both these events are part of that intention.”

The speakers
Mr Tikolevu said they have invited the chief executive officer of the Australian Customs and Border Protection Services, Mr Roman Quaedvlieg.
“He will talk about the recent merger of Australian Customs and the Immigration Department,” he said.
“We will also have the Deputy Comptroller of New Zealand Customs, Mr Bill Perry who will talk about making compliance easy and hard to avoid.”
“We will also be hearing from the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department talk about their compliance model.
“The speaker, Katrina Williams will also share their experience of their hidden economy.
“The fourth overseas speaker is Professor David Williamson of Charles Sturt University, who will speak on trade facilitation and its implications for the Government and industries.”
David Staughton, a motivational speaker from Australia, will also address the forum.
