Awestruck!

This is one word that Annual Global Scavenger Hunt competitors, Tamyra Nash and her daughter Kate Nash, described Fiji when they landed.

The ever smiling Tamyra Nash, 57, said their two-day stay had been an enjoyable one.

“We had a four hour flight from Nashville and took another eleven hour flight from Los Angeles to Fiji with the other seven teams and we just love Fiji and the atmosphere here,” she said.

“We own a travelling agency, it’s a family business called the Mysavvyvacation travel agency and we plan vacations for our customers. After visiting Fiji we can probably say that Fiji is an ideal destination for anyone looking to truly discover an adventure-packed trip.

“America is fast paced and everyone is always rushing but when we arrived here the atmosphere was more laid back and friendly. This will definitely not be our last visit,” Ms Nash said.

The Global Scavenger Hunt is an annual international travel adventure competition in which teams of two people travel around the world in competition with other teams to win The World’s Greatest Travellers title and trophy.

Ms Nash, 25, said the competition was more of a sightseeing adventure for her and her mother.

“It’s good to get to know the people, instead of just rushing through your scavenger hunts, we can tell that the emphasis here in Fiji is more on family and tradition. It has been amazing,” she said.

Event director William Chalmers said the event has visited over 60 nations around the world.
