The Savusavu Tourism Association presented its i reguregu to the chiefly family of the Tui Nasavusavu at Nukubalavu village in Savusavu on Monday.

Tui Nasavusavu Ratu Suliano Naulumatua, who passed away the past month after a short illness, will be laid to rest at the chiefly burial grounds or Sautabu on Friday.

The i reguregu was led by the president of association, Justin Hunter and Assistant Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism and longtime Savusavu tourism leader, Lorna Eden as well as other members of the association.

The members of the association were honoured to see the construction of the Sau Tabu at the village grounds.

The association currently has 18 financial members and they work to promote and develop the tourism industry in Savusavu, working in collaboration with the other industry stakeholders in Fiji.

The royal entourage that will be bringing the late Tui Nasavusavu’s body will leave the Nasavusavu District hospital for Navusavu Town to Nukubalavu Village today at 2pm.

The traditional guards of the boarders of Nasavusavu the Bati Balavu of Naidi village together with their traditional head the Ramasi Tui Namuana will be escorting and in attendance.
