Tourism Fiji Hosts Chinese Media For Famil

Tourism Fiji is hosting six elite media personnel from China to a familiarisation tour this week to increase tourist visitor numbers from one of Fiji’s key source markets.

This is the first media famil that Tourism Fiji has organised with its new established PR Agency, Cohne & Wolfe, in China.

A famil is an educational tour allowing international travel agents and media to get to know the destination and products and services it has to offer.

The media personnel were hand selected and pre-qualified by Cohne & Wolfe in Shanghai on a heavily tailor-made itinerary specific to addressing Fiji’s target audience and the media angles in which each media is on assignment for.

The main media angles include showcasing Fiji as a high-end island destination, wedding destination, family travel destination, happy Fiji experience, worlds travel destination, fashion, beauty and health.

The media personnel are from the following media outlets; Travel & Leisure China, Voyage, ELLE, The Bund, Traveling Scope, and National Geographic Traveller.

The print circulation form these media outlets ranges from 350,000-700,000 and are distributed either on a weekly or monthly basis.

Their publications are scheduled for two months after their visit to Fiji (June/July) in which Tourism Fiji has strategically planned in up-weighting the branding activity Tourism Fiji will have in the China market as a leader up to Golden Week in China.
