As the economy grows, it is given that so will the demand for fossil fuel.

The past week, another oil tanker visited our shores – Iver Exporter – which was brought under Campbell Shipping as its agents.

The tanker discharged a total of over 5000 metric tons of oil.

Campbell Shipping, general manager, Rona Campbell, reiterated the importance of such oil tankers which benefits the economy as a whole.

“It is critical that tankers come into Fiji on a regular basis and in a timely manner,” she said.

Ms Campbell, noting the increasing demand, said more oil tankers are due to arrive soon.

The tanker has deadweight of 45683 tons, with length of 182.91 metres by 32.26 metres in breath.

She was carrying 26 crew members as she voyaged to Port Noumea on April 11.
